TODAYâS HIGHLIGHT!
Give your Mondays a makeover!

Mondays are often negative, seen as the dreaded start of the workweek. The name "Monday" originates from the Old English term "MonandĂŚg," which translates to "Moon's day," which in itself goes back to Roman times when Monday was originally âdies Lunaeâ or âday of the Moon.â
In various cultures, Monday holds different meanings. For instance, ancient Greece considered it an auspicious day for new beginnings due to its association with the moon goddess Selene. In Japan and South Korea, Monday is a day of rest and renewal
(Itâs popularized even further by Garfield- yâknow, that cute but adorably lazy orange cat!)
However, Mondays can be powerful! To maximize your Mondays:
Set weekly learning goals every Monday to create a sense of purpose.

MASTERY PRO-TIP
About to meet friendsđĽ? Become a conversationalist before you go out!

Want to boost your English skills quickly? Try this actionable tip: Practice speaking in while preparing your drip đ§Ľâ¨ . Hereâs how:
Choose a topic youâre passionate about or want to discuss. If youâre about to meet friends, think of things that happened during the week that might be points of discussion. The recent tea đľ, maybe?
Find a quiet space where you feel comfortable. If youâre preparing in your room, close the door so you know youâre alone.
Speak clearly and confidently, as if youâre addressing an audience. Talk while dressing up, putting on makeup, or preparing your bag. Itâs like preparing for how youâll explain whoâs currently going out with who in your friend group đ.
Record your voice to review later and identify areas for improvement. Turn on your recording app and record your practice session. Listen to it on the road so you know how you sound!
